Giornata di studio sulla Brucellosi

 

The Istituto Zooprofilattico Sperimentale dell'Abruzzo e del Molise "G. Caporale" (IZSAM), who is OIE Reference Laboratory and National Reference Centre for Brucellosis, is organizing a "Workshop on Brucellosis", which will be held on the 26th and the 27th of February 2015, at the Conference room of the International Centre for Veterinary Training and Information “F. Gramenzi” (CIFIV).

 

It is an important moment during which the operators of the National Health System can exchange opinions and share their experiences. The objective is to provide a scientific and technical update on the epidemiological situation of Brucellosis in Italy, to present the results of the interlaboratory circuits during the two-year period 2013-2014 and the on-going research activities.

 

The event is accredited CEM with 7,5 training credits for the surgeons, the veterinarians, the biologists, the chemist, the pharmacists and the Biomedical Health Laboratory Technicians. Part of the training activity held on the 26th of February will be in English as several international experts, representatives of the European Reference Laboratory on Brucellosis and of some excellence centre for the research on the disease will take part in the event and analyse in-depth the aspects concerning the Porcine brucellosis.

 

The scientific co-ordinator of the "Workshop on Brucellosis" is Doctor Manuela Tittarelli, who is responsible for the National Reference Centre for Brucellosis of IZSAM. The speakers are Massimo Ancora, Fabrizio De Massis, Giuliano Garofolo, Romolo Salini and Massimo Scacchia (IZSAM); Luigi Ruocco (Direzione Generale della Sanità Animale e dei Farmaci Veterinari of the Ministry of Health); Flavio De Maio (National Institute of Health); Maryne Jay (French Agency for Food, Environmental and Occupational Health & Safety, ANSES, France); Pilar Muñoz and Jose M. Blasco (Centro de Investigación y Tecnología Agroalimentaria del Gobierno de Aragón, CITA, Spain).
