Scientific collaboration ageement

On the 16th of February 2015 the scientific and educational collaboration agreement between the Istituto Zooprofilattico Sperimantale dell'Abruzzo e del Molise “G. Caporale” (IZSAM) and Il Bosso has been signed. Il Bosso is a co-operative society and a regional accredited environmental education centre of the Abruzzo Region operating in the tourism sector from 1999. It co-operates with bodies, schools and associations through the fulfilment of projects having the objective of raising the ecological awareness, divulgating the scientific culture, promoting the knowledge of the environment and of the territory, developing and researching programs for sustainable and responsible tourism.

The objective of the agreement is to promote the activities carried out in the field of research on aquaculture ecosystems, on fresh waters and, more in general, on natural environments, in particular in Valle del Tirino and in Alta Val Pescara. The promotion of training projects and divulgation in the field of aquatic and environmental ecosystems aims at extending the knowledge on aquatic resources, optimizing the management, the protection and raising the awareness of the different target groups about the natural environments: schoolchildren, researchers and tourists, who pay attention to the environmental and natural topics.

The meeting, which was held at the Centro Visite Fiume Tirino di Bussi sul Tirino (PE), involved Biologist Carla Giansante and Riccardo Caprioli of IZSAM; the Presindent of Il Bosso, the Biologist Cristian Moscone; the Director of the tourism and communication sector of the co-operative society, Doctor Paolo Setta; Doctor Filomena Spagnoli and Alessia Fiamma, representatives of the environmental education sector of the C.E.A. Il Bosso.
