Visit prof. Hammami, Tunisia

 

Prof. Salah Hammami, Director General of the Centre National de Veille Zoosanitaire (CNVZ) in Tunis, he spent a period at the Institute for a visit planned in the context of the European twinning project "renforcement des capacités du Centre National de Veille Zoosanitaire."  


The project aims to strengthen the skills of CNVZ in terms of animal diseases surveillance and to prepare the conditions for the labelling for this Tunisian Institution as OIE Collaborating Centre for Epidemiological Surveillance, Risk Analysis and Training.


During his stay, from 14 to 18 January 2013, prof. Hammami had the opportunity to learn more about the Institute of Teramo, especially with regard to the information systems, the activities of epidemiological surveillance and risk analysis carried out, the notification of animal diseases and emergency plans, the training activities of the Organisation as a Collaborating Centre for Veterinary Training, Epidemiology, Food Safety and Animal Welfare of the OIE, the World Organization for Animal Health.  


In addition, Prof Hammami met the Director General and the Sanitary Director of the Institute in order to review ongoing collaborations activities between the two institutions and to explore the possibilities for future scientific collaboration.
