As OIE's Reference Laboratory for Bluetongue and West Nile Disease, the G. Caporale I nstitute hosted Dr. Anis Mouelhi, from the Institut de la Recherche Vétérinaire de Tunisie (IRVT), for a 10-day training programme.

 

From the 10th to the 21st of September 2012, the Tunisian researcher attended the Virology department of the I nstitute, were he was tra ined on matters of biomolecular techniques, aimed to identify the species attacked by bloodsucking insects - potential vectors of bluetongue virus and West Nile Disease - starting from the examination of the latter's abdomen contents
