The Istituto Zooprofilattico Sperimentale dell’Abruzzo e del Molise “G.Caporale”(IZSAM), because it is a National Reference Centre for the study and verification of Foreign Animal Diseases (CESME), was designated as the organizing body.

On the 13th and 14th of May 2014, the second session of the training course will be held in Torino at the conference room of the Istituto Zooprofilattico del Piemonte, Liguria e Valle d’Aosta. Three more sessions of this local training course will be held in the areas of North, Central and South Italy, in order to facilitate the participation of the concerned bodies and operators of different Italian Regions.

Each session is addressed to 35 official veterinarians of the National Health System, the Experimental Zooprophylactic Institutes, the central and peripheral offices of the Ministry of Health, which are professionally engaged in the surveillance and management of epidemic emergencies of transboundry vector-born animal diseases.
