Experts from Albania and Bosnia-Herzegovina at the Institute for the CAPS2 project

 

According to the activities of CAPS2 project, from the 28th of April to the 5th of May 2014, two experts of the Food Safety and Veterinary Institute of Albania, Merjem Bushati e Sofiana Mai, and two experts of the Veterinary Faculty of Sarajevo, Dinaida Tahirovic e Dzenita Viteskic, were trained on the detection of Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons (PAHs) and Biotoxins at the Laboratory of Bromatology of the Istituto Zooprofilattico Sperimentale dell’Abruzzo e del Molise “G.Caporale” (IZSAM).

 

Within the framework of the same project, from the 5th to the 16th of May 2014, Marsela Bregaj, Teuta Demollari and Sofiana Mai of the Food Safety and Veterinary Institute of Albania and Amina Magoda e Dzenita Viteskic of the Veterinary Faculty of Sarajevo, are being trained on the detection of Biotoxins.

 

“Strengthening of Aquaculture Centres for production and Safety Surveillance in Adriatic Cross-border Countries - CAPS2” project is co-financed by the European Union through the IPA Adriatic Cross Border Cooperation 2007-2013 Framework Programme. The activities of the project aim to improve diagnostic competences of the laboratories of the Adriatic Area, both in terms of equipment and knowledge, above all concerning the hygienic-sanitary aspects of fish products, with particular reference to shellfish culture.
