From the 9th to the 11th of April 2014, the Istituto Zooprofilattico Sperimentale dell’Abruzzo e del Molise “G. Caporale” hosted the Workshop of the European Reference Laboratory for Listeria monocytogenes (EURL-Lm) and the Steering Committee meeting, constituted by the representatives of nine member states, for the management of the EURL-Lm Listeria monocytogenes Database.
As a National Reference Centre for tranboundry animal diseases, IZSAM is organizing the first session of three training courses, which will be held on the 15th and the 16th of April 2014 at the Headquarters of the Ministry of Health in Rome.
Within the framework of the initiative “Better Training for Safer Food” promoted by the DG SANCO of the European Commission, the Istituto Zooprofilattico Sperimentale dell’Abruzzo e del Molise “G.Caporale”, is organizing a training course in Lloret de Mar (Spain) from the 8th to the 11th of April 2014.
From the 31st to the 4th April 2014, four experts from the Croatian Veterinary Institute and two from the Centre for Ecotoxicological Research of Montenegro, will attended the Laboratory of Bromatology, Residues in foods for human and animal consumption of the Istituto Zooprofilattico Sperimentale dell’Abruzzo e del Molise “G. Caporale” for a period of training on the determination of marine biotoxins.
Within the framework of an OIE Twinning project, Shuvai Musari and Joan Varaidzo Burumu from the Zimbabwean Central Veterinary Laboratory are attending the IZSAM for a period of training on Brucellosis until the 11th of April 2014.
“Showing research results” is the title of a conference that IZSAM is attending with the other 9 Italian Istituti Zooprofilattici Sperimentali, during the States General of Health held in Rome on the 8th and 9th April 2014.
From 23rd March to 5th April 2014, IZS hosts two researchers from the Republic of Kazakhstan for a training period on the serological diagnosis of brucellosis within an OIE Twinning.
The workshop was held in Warsaw from the 11th to the 12th of April 2014. The event are being organized by the European Commission with the aim of providing both freelance and official veterinarians with a deeper understanding of animal welfare.
