The Unit plays a strategic role in disseminating scientific information and in promoting and showcasing the activities carried out by the IZS of Teramo, adopting an integrated One Health approach and an Open Science model. Through clear, accessible, and multichannel communication, the Unit – through its two units, Library and Communication – promotes transparency, participation, and the sharing of research results. It also supports scientific publishing, contributing to greater visibility and impact of research at both national and international levels.
The Unit manages both the internal and external communication of the Institute, developing integrated strategies to disseminate its scientific and institutional activities. Through a multichannel approach, it provides information via the website, social media platforms, and multimedia content production, ensuring constant updates on the Institute’s projects, research, and initiatives. It is also responsible for drafting and distributing press releases, managing media relations, and organizing interviews and press conferences, thus ensuring ongoing dialogue with journalists and institutions.
The Unit organizes and takes part in events, conferences, and public initiatives, raising awareness and strengthening the interaction between the Institute and its stakeholders, with the aim of fostering dialogue on issues of public and scientific interest. At the same time, it develops visual and promotional communication strategies, creating graphic, photographic, video, and advertising content to promote the Institute’s image and ensure a consistent and recognizable identity.
The Unit supports researchers at various stages of scientific output and provides consulting services for the open access dissemination of publications and research data. It also contributes to the publication of the One Health Journal and the Veterinaria Italiana editorial series. In addition, it assists researchers in the preparation of scientific articles, reports, and posters, enhancing the reach and accessibility of research results.
Through a transparent and participatory approach, the Unit acts as a bridge between the Institute, the academic world, institutions, and the public, helping to strengthen the Institute’s role as a center of research excellence and a promoter of scientific and cultural innovation.
