Head
He graduated in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Bologna in 1994. He has completed various postgraduate qualifications, including an advanced course in veterinary gynaecology and artificial insemination, and a specialisation in buiatrics (bovine medicine). He is currently a member of the scientific staff at the European Union Reference Centre for the Welfare of Ruminants and Equines (EURCAW-RE).

He has been working at the Istituto Zooprofilattico Sperimentale dell’Abruzzo e del Molise since 1996 and currently serves as Head of the Animal Welfare Unit, where he coordinates research projects and operational activities related to animal welfare.
He has extensive experience in teaching and training, having served as a lecturer in numerous national and international courses and seminars. He is also actively involved in research, with publications focusing on animal welfare, infectious diseases, and the use of animals in scientific research.
