The Unit manages works, maintenance, and administrative activities related to the Institute’s buildings and facilities. It coordinates procurement procedures, supply contracts, asset inventories, and technical interventions, working in collaboration with both internal and external resources. Additionally, it oversees routine and extraordinary maintenance, the management of external spaces, and provides operational support to ensure efficiency and continuity of activities.
The Unit is responsible for the complete and integrated management of maintenance activities, technical interventions, and administrative procedures related to the Institute’s buildings and facilities. Its main tasks include:
The unit ensures the administrative management of procedures and measures related to public procurement for works, maintenance, and utilities, including supply contracts for goods and services, as well as the maintenance of movable and immovable assets, related areas, and facilities. It also oversees the inventory of buildings and facilities and manages all interactions with the Institute’s external technical staff involved in property management. It prepares administrative provisions for supply contracts, regulating the relationships between the Institute and external suppliers. Staff within this unit conducts site inspections to resolve issues related to property management and oversees the corresponding administrative procedures, including authorisations, operational management, and compliance with Legislative Decree 81/2008 (Health and Safety at Work).
The unit operates in close coordination with the Maintenance Agency, ensuring efficient management of issues that require intervention from multiple administrative and technical units.
It plays an active role in maintaining the Institute’s environmental management system, participating in annual audits.
The Unit handles first-line technical interventions on facilities and buildings for the Institute’s departments, both at the central headquarters and local chapters.
