The Assets and Logistics Structure, composed of two units—"Logistics, Procurement, GT, and Warehouse" and "Assets and Maintenance Agency"—is part of the Institute’s Administrative Services, which are organised into three complex structures.
With regard to real estate, the structure plans activities related to the development of the Institute’s property assets, in consultation with the Head of the Assets and Maintenance Agency, implementing public procurement procedures where required for investments. It also plans and programmes maintenance services (preventive, routine, and extraordinary) for technical equipment, facilities, and utilities. The unit manages relations with authorities and organisations responsible for technical inspections and legally mandated controls, ensuring the safety of internal technical personnel.
In terms of maintenance and related activities, it develops processes aimed at preserving the long-term operational efficiency of assets. It also provides advisory and support services for all procedures requiring assessments or actions related to asset management and maintenance.
Regarding the procurement of goods and services, the structure plans and programmes all supply chain activities necessary to ensure the operation of the Institute’s laboratories and support departments. This planning also includes maintenance schedules (preventive, routine, and extraordinary) for technological, IT, and intangible assets.
The structure coordinates and integrates the activities and processes of both units, eliminating redundancies and streamlining operations.
