On Wednesday 22 April 2009 a delegation from the Veterinary Services Department of the Macedonian Ministry of Agriculture were the guests of the Institute to find out about the Italian identification system for small ruminants, and to exchange experiences on information systems.
The delegation were given a presentation on the National DataBase (NDB) for Livestock Registration, the hardware structure, the SANAN web application (Animal Registration System) and on connecting via palmtops to the NDB.
The day was organized as part of the "National Animal Identification System Phase III" project financed by the European Community, and finished with a visit to the offices of the NDB Data Processing Centre and Help Desk at the Institute.
