Visit of Zambia delegation

A delegation of Veterinary Services of Zambia, consisting of doctors Geoffrey Muuka, A.C. Songolo, Swithine Kabilika, and Christine Yamba Yamba, made a study visit at the IZS dell’Abruzzo e del Molise from 13 to 17 January 2014.

The representatives of Zambia were interested in the operation of the Registry of Animal Husbandry and had the opportunity to listen to the presentations of several experts from the Institute to acquire as much knowledge as possible on the identification and registration of bovines.

The objective is to implement a registry system similar to the Italian Registry of Animal Husbandry also in Zambia. The issues addressed included the identification of the real needs of the Veterinary Services of Zambia to start immediately a fruitful collaboration with the IZSAM.
