Dear Readers,

I am pleased to share with you the 35/2022 edition of the National Veterinary Epidemiological Bulletin.

Thanks to the online version of the website, it is possible to consult updated data in real time on the outbreaks of diseases notified in the Animal Diseases Information System (SIMAN).

In the Data and Maps section, it is possible to generate updated and detailed maps, based on your needs, on the distribution of the main animal diseases notified in SIMAN in the period of interest.

In the Publications section Dr. Luciano Ricchiuti discusses and examines new perspectives on bees and beekeeping. The article presents, in closing, useful links to the in-depth analysis of the topics, of great interest to the public, covered.

The second article provides updates on the topic of Antibiotic-Resistance in Italy: summary report of the EU Action Plan on antimicrobial resistance in zoonotic bacteria and indicator bacteria of human, animal and food origin in 2019, and ESVAC project report on the consumption of veterinary antimicrobials in 2020.

The third article focuses on swine Brucellosis, an underestimated pathology in Sardinia. With the entry into force of the new animal health legislation, in particular Regulation 429/2016 and the Delegated Regulations, the level of attention on the spread of Brucella suis infections has increased.

The section of the Free territories remained unchanged since the last bulletin of April 2021

In the News section you will find a series of interesting news related to the period 2022 and all those of previous years (2011-2021).

In the Send your article section, which can be consulted through the drop-down menu Discover online service, you can consult the guidelines for authors and send the articles and short news to the editorial staff of the BENV
