Prof. José Soares Ferreira Neto visits the Institute

Prof. José Soares Ferreira Neto, Head of the Epidemiology Department of the Veterinary Faculty of São Paolo University (Brazil), visited the G. Caporale Institute from 4 to 8 April 2011. The visit took place in the context of a technical and scientific collaboration agreement entered into between the G. Caporale Institute and the Department of Preventive Veterinary Medicine of Universidade Estadual de São Paulo (USP).

The collaboration agreement involves by visits by Brazilian researchers to the G. Caporale Institute's laboratories in Teramo, and visitors by researchers from the Institute to the USP, to exchange information about methods and research activities relating to subjects of interest to both institutes.

The visit was also designed to establish and agree on the possibilities for more extensive technical and scientific collaboration between the two organisations. On 7 April Prof. Soares held a seminar for researchers from the G. Caporale institute, entitled "Seminar on the prophylaxis of brucellosis in Brazil".
