The Institute awarded in Frankfurt, at the 2012 HP-Intel Mission-Critical Innovation Awards

On December the 3rd 2012, the G. Caporale Experimental Zooprophylactic Institute was awarded within the "2012 HP-Intel Mission-Critical Innovation Awards" event, held at the Steigenberger Frankfurter Hof in Frankfurt, Germany. The event was attended by computer scientists Daniele Zippo and Antonio D'Angelo, of the Data Processing Centre.

The Teramo Institute won the 'Humanitarian / Environmental Impact' category, for having developed a computer program, enhancing research for the effective control and prevention of diseases. It is a product of analysis for the generation of a multidimensional archive, obtained by the extraction of data from the bovine population registry, that uses DatonixOne/QueryObject, an Event database management system with a columnar-hierarchical-relational-molap architecture, for the extraction and aggregation of large amounts of data. In particular, the prototype is based on the movements within the bovine registry, which contains approximately 48 million records.

The Teramo Institute was also awarded within the Mission-Critical Data category, for having reduced the data processing time from 12 hours to less than an hour, using an HP Mission-Critical Converged Infrastructure.
