After nearly ten years of experience as a freelance Project Manager in the HR sector, she began a stable collaboration with IZSAM in 2007. Since 1 April 2024, she has been Head of the Project Centre, part of the Complex Structure "International Relations and Training".
After nearly ten years of experience as a freelance Project Manager in the HR sector, she began a stable collaboration with IZSAM in 2007. Since 1 April 2024, she has been Head of the Project Centre, part of the Complex Structure "International Relations and Training".
In addition to managing the Centre in compliance with ISO 9001 standards, she plans and coordinates research, capacity building, technical assistance and international cooperation projects. Her work focuses mainly on Animal Health and Welfare, Food Safety, Risk Communication and Laboratory Animal Science. These projects are funded by the Italian government, European institutions, international organisations and other public and private bodies.
She leads transnational consortia and coordinates technical and scientific teams of international experts. She also designs and oversees knowledge elicitation strategies, communication and dissemination activities, and public awareness campaigns.
She is the Focal Point for the WOAH Collaborating Centre for Veterinary Training and Capacity Building and Deputy Coordinator of the European Union Reference Centre for the welfare of ruminants and equines (EURCAW – Ruminants & Equines). She is a member of the Animal Welfare Body (OPBA) and takes part in several national, European and international working groups, including: the National Working Group on Risk Communication in Food Safety, the ETPLAS Stakeholders Board, the WOAH Platform for the Training of Veterinary Services, the Steering Group of the WOAH Platform on Animal Welfare for Europe, and the Steering Committee of the WOAH Collaborating Centre Consortium for Animal Welfare.
She is regularly invited to speak at international meetings and conferences. She holds a professional qualification as Project Manager under Italian Law 04/2013, certifying the quality and professionalism of her services.
