CAPS2 project: in October several technicians from Albania attended IZSAM

At the laboratories of the Istituto Zooprofilattico Sperimentale dell’Abruzzo e del Molise “G. Caporale” the period training attended by the technicians coming from Croatia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Montenegro and Albania goes on following the calendar of activities planned by the project "Strengthening of Aquaculture Centres for production and Safety Surveillance in Adriatic Cross-border Countries - CAPS2", co-financed by the UE through the IPA Adriatic Cross Border Cooperation 2007-2013 Framework Programme.

From the 27th to the 31st of October 2014, Renis Maҫi and Halit Memoҫi of the Food Safety and Veterinary Institute of Tirana (Albania), attended the Hygiene laboratory in order to acquire the operating protocol ISO 21 872 2007 for the detection of Vibrio spp. in shellfish.

The CAPS2 project activities focus on the analysis and management of chemical and microbiological contamination risks of fish products and have the objective to allow the member countries of the project to adapt their equipment and to acquire new specific laboratory competences.
