1941-2016: The Istituto had its 75th anniversary

The Istituto Zooprofilattico Sperimentale of Abruzzo and Molise arose on 2 September 1941 and it is one of the “youngest” Italian IIZZS. This year it aimed its 75th anniversary, a right circumstance to make a balance to start up again from now on, as the General Director, Prof. Mauro Mattioli enunciated. In his invitation message to the IZSAM personnel, he said: “Today is a great opportunity to celebrate, all together, the prestigious achievements , therefore we can make a clear analysis on the Istituto present situation, in order to emphasize both the strengths and weaknesses of the current moment, and to look at the future, as well. This event had got an important value, which launched a process to get aware how the Istituto is well - structured: a particular course of this Istituto, also thinking up to reinforce our sense of corporate, which already belongs to all the men and women, who works here, every day”.

For this special event, a volume, titled “Ricerca e sperimentazione per l’Uomo, l’Animale e l’Ambiente. L’IZSAM compie 75 anni”, had been passed out. It summarizes all the activities and the role of the Istituto itself, focusing on those technical and scientific events, carried out over the last two years.
