Presentation of the Institute's research projects at the Teramo Science Park

On July the 9th, 2012, the G. Caporale Institute presented its current and finalised research projects, carried out during 2010-2011 and inherent to diagnostics, animal health and welfare, food safety, epidemiology and training.


At the Teramo Science Park Auditorium, about twenty experts of the Institute intervened to synthetically present, to an audience of roughly 150 people, the implemented methodologies and the scientific results obtained through the various projects. All projects are carried out according to the integrated system combining "animal welfare - animal health - food safety". Such system is not only an objective of the Institute, but also its strategic line, undertaken during the past years.


The conference / study day entitled "From animal health and welfare to food safety: strategies and results of the research conducted by the G. Caporale Institute" was accredited CME with the allocation of 4 credits for professional veterinarians, biologists, laboratory technicians and chemists.


As a means of project results divulgation, the conference was also conceived in order to assess the distribution of funding relating to research, which the Ministry of Health assigns to IIZZSS for the current year.
