Dr. Boonpornprasert in the Virology department

From May the 21st to June the 8th, 2012, dr. Prakit Boonpornprasert of the National Institute for Animal Health (NIAH) of Bangkok, visited the Institute. He attended the Virology department to undergo a training programme on diagnostic techniques for West Nile Disease as part of the Emerging Pandemic Threats Program of the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) in collaboration with WHO, FAO and OIE.


The project aims to enhance the diagnostic skills of laboratories in regions experiencing high risk of emerging diseases as well as to develop a network of laboratories both at geographical and sectorial levels.
