LEarning GenOmics for food safety - LEGO

The final conference of the “LEarning GenOmics for food safety - LEGO” project will take place on 20 December, from 8:30 to 11:00, on the Zoom platform. The event aims to disseminate the results achieved and the Intellectual Outputs developed over more than three years of activity.

The project, funded by the European Erasmus+ Programme (Cooperation for Innovation and the Exchange of Good Practices, Strategic Partnerships in the field of Higher Education) defined and is training an innovative, interdisciplinary professional profile - the Food Microbial Bioinformatician (FMB). The creation of this new profile allows to meet the new research challenges in the field of genomics applied to food safety and to the needs of the international labour market

IZSAM is the lead partner of the initiative, which can rely on a broad partnership composed of three universities (University of Helsinki - Finland; Università degli Studi dell’Aquila - Italy; Bydgoszcz University of Science and Technology - Poland), a Spanish research centre (AINIA) and an Italian-based technological company oriented to didactic innovation (Udanet).

The final conference of LEGO of 20 december is targeted to students, recent graduates, universities teachers and researchers, microbiologists and bio informaticians, experts from private/public institutions working in Food Safety field, representatives of governmental institutions and municipalities, representatives of the industries and companies from the food sector, and VET Training institutions.
