Study day "Alternatives to animal experiments in the study and detection of marine biotoxins"

The Istituto G. Caporale and the Department of Biomedical Science at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia (Interdisciplinary Science and Technology Centre for the Quality and Safety of Foods) are organizing a study day for 9 March 2009 on "Alternatives to animal experiments in the study and detection of marine biotoxins".


During the course of the event, particular emphasis will be placed on the presentation of new in vitro toxicological models which are capable of being used in the study of the toxicity of various bioactive substances, as alternatives to the use of animals.


The meeting will take place from 9:00 to 13:30 in the Multifunctional Hall of the Province of Teramo.
