9th Risk Management Forum on Health

From the 25th to the 28th of November 2014, the 9th Risk Management Forum on Health: “New Healthcare Pact-the citizen’s equity and right to health-innovation in hospitals and on the territory ” was held at the Centro Fiere e Congressi of Arezzo.

The Forum has for several years been an event of relevant importance for the Italian healthcare system. It consisted of different meetings, workshops, roundtables and expos on the safety of the patient at 360°. The event included, on the one hand a trade show section dedicated to the latest news and innovations on the market and, on the other hand, a congress section oriented to the meeting and sharing of different figures of the Italian and international healthcare world.

The main focus of the event was the “New Healthcare Pact” determined by the Stability Law, whose implementation consists of specific measures introduced to guarantee the compliance with the Community requirements and the implementation of the Public Finance goals, fulfilling the understanding between the Italian State and the Regions concerning the Healthcare System.

With regards to the Veterinary Healthcare System, several Directors of the Experimental Zooprofilactic Institutes participated in the Forum. The lectures dedicated to the session “Health, Environment, Food” held at the Sala Minerva on Friday the 28^th of November were noteworthy. The moderator Silvio Borrello, Director general from animal health and veterinary drugs (DGSAF) of the Ministry of Health, guided the lectures of the speakers, among which there was Cesare Di Francesco, responsible for the IZSAM’ Data Processing Center, who spoke about the integration of computer systems in Animal Health and Food Safety.

Among the available modelling areas, used to show the financing of technologies and latest generation of machines, a stand was mounted by the Experimental Zooprofilactic Institutes. It represented a valid meeting point for all those interested in Veterinary Healthcare and allowed to expose to the Forum’ participants the network of activities carried out by the Experimental Zooprofilactic Institutes in Italy and throughout the world .
