Institutional Communication

An effective communication policy and information dissemination has always gone along the development of the Institute. Tank to cutting-edge Information and Communication Technology (ICT) the IZSAM can now interact with experts from al lover the world and keep most citizens/consumers informed.

With regards to scientific communication, since the '50, the Institute has published the Veterinary Public Health review " Veterinaria Italiana ". Simultaneously, it deals with educational communication, publishing different kinds of materials on different supports such as newsletters, brochures, posters and videos, with the specific purpose of informing citizens translating science in a simple although rigorous language.

In order to enhance communication with its customers, the Institutional Communication department was created in 2009, which coordinates and delivers the Institute communication to make information flow and objectives be shared, adjusting its modus according to types and styles immediately recognizable from the outside. Such department also works as Press Office, caring the relations between the facility and the media, providing information and updates on topics of public interest through press releases, facilitating communication with the public by the mediation of information offices.

The Communication Department is also connected to the Library which offers counselling and bibliographic (whether traditional and on computerized data banks) researches, document delivery and interlibrary borrowings to in-house and external customers.
