FAO Reference Centre for Animal Health and Food Safety

In 2022, the FAO Reference Centre for Animal Health and Food Security was established, organised into technical areas. The Istituto Zooprofilattico of Abruzzo and Molise was designated for 4 out of the 6 technical areas identified by FAO:

- Brucellosis (IZS of Abruzzo e del Molise)

- Lumpy Skin Disease (IZS of Abruzzo e del Molise)

- Veterinary Database: LIMS and Animal Identification System (IZS of Abruzzo e del Molise)

- Animal Welfare (IZS of Abruzzo e del Molise, IZS of Lombardy and Emilia-Romagna)

- Beekeeping (IZS of Lazio and Tuscany, IZS of the Venezie)

- Swine Farm Biosecurity (IZS of Lombardy and Emilia-Romagna, IZS of Umbria and Marche, IZS of Sardinia)
