BENV is an on-line journal published every four months (issues in February, June, and October). The works must be sent to the address benv@izs.it within the month preceding the publication of the new number (January, May, and September). Articles submitted after this deadline will be published in the following issues.
The editorial board reserves the right to comment on and /or change the article. In this case, the article will be sent back to the first author for changes approval and manuscript revision. The first author must ensure that all co-authors agree with the final version of the manuscript. In case the first author does not respond within ten working days, the article will not be published.
The articles must be written both in Italian and in English. The manuscript sent in only one of the two languages will not be published.

Figures, Tables, Graphs and Maps
BENV is publishing works dealing with veterinary epidemiology, zoonoses, food safety and emerging animal heath infectious diseases. BENV contents are addressed to all veterinarians, officials and private practitioners, both Italian and foreign, who may not have specific skills in epidemiology or infectious diseases. The works, therefore, should be written using a clear and easily understandable language, although correct scientific terminology must be used.
The figures, tables, graphs and maps should be listed numerically and in bold type, in the order they appear in the text, followed by a brief description not in bold (e.g., Table 2. Number of outbreaks .... etc.. ). In the text, the reference to the figures, tables, graphs, and maps must be placed in parentheses and in bold (e.g., Graph 2, Figure 1).
For tables and graphs Excel sheet with origin data must be provided together with the work.
