Training visit for doctors Lily Dinakanyane and Kebonyemodisa Ntesang, Botswana

Doctors Lily Dinakanyane and Kebonyemodisa Ntesang from the Botswana National Veterinary Laboratory underwent a training period at the Institute on Dourine disease diagnosis. This program was carried out as part of the "Study of a number of exotic diseases at risk of introduction through experimental infection and field studies in endemic areas in Africa; development and harmonization of diagnostic techniques and production of reagents" project.

From April the 30^th to May the 12^th, 2012, Doctor Lily Dinakanyane frequented the departments of Serology and Viral vaccines production of the G. Caporale Institute Headquarters in Teramo. Here, she had the opportunity to examine aspects such as the performance of serological tests for the diagnosis of Dourine and the production of T. equiperdum antigen.

During the same period, Doctor Kebonyemodisa Ntesang frequented the department of Biotechnology Research and Development , where he followed the laboratory activities regarding the molecular diagnosis of Dourine.
