OIE twinning with Institut de la Recherche Vétérinaire de Tunisie (IRVT)

From 29 November to 18 December 2010, the Istituto G. Caporale, in its capacity as OIE Reference Laboratory for Bluetongue, is hosting three delegates from the Institut de la Recherche Vétérinaire de Tunisie (IRVT) for a training course forming part of the OIE twinning project ongoing until October 2011.

The OIE twinning programme involves theoretical and practical training activities for the benefit of various representatives of the Tunisian Institute.

The three Tunisian delegates involved in this initial phase, Drs. Mohamed Khaled Ben Hmida, Selma Hadouchi and Aida Megdich Krichen, will undergo training in OIE standards for the maintenance and preparation of diagnostic samples and procedures for the transport of biological materials to a reference laboratory, as well as training in the correct conduct of serological tests for the diagnosis of bluetongue.
