Next Generation Sequencing data analysis - Training course

Between the 12^th and the 16^th of November 2012, a training course in bioinformatics, entitled "Course of Next Generation Sequencing data analysis", was held at the Teramo G. Caporale Institute headquarters. The programme was organised by experts of the CRS4 Srl Bioinformatics company: a Research, Development and Higher Education Centre in Sardinia.

This type of specialised training is part of an agreement between the G. Caporale Institute, as OIE Laboratory and National Reference Centre for Exotic Animal Diseases, and the Sardinian company, signed in 2012. The covenant concerns the implementation of applied scientific research activities, with particular reference to biotechnologies, mathematical modelling, statistical analysis and high performance computing.

The training event was purposely designed to acquire the theoretical and practical basis for NGS (Next Generation Sequencing) data analysis, namely for the study of microorganisms.
