From Algeria for a workshop at IZSAM

 

The general objective of the project is the implementation of the safety of food of animal origin in order to support their commercialization in the internal Algerian market and to facilitate their export to the European Union and at international level. The specific objective is to provide the Direction of the Veterinary Services (DSV) of the Algerian Ministry of Agriculture and Development (MARD) with institutional support in order to implement the reliability of the veterinary controls and to offer their own services within the quality system according to the ISO/IEC repository standard as recommended by the OIE 17020.

 

Jamel Daheur, Karima Ouali, Abdelhalim Yousfi, M’hammed Zenikhri, Yasmina Zerabib and the interpreter Christelle Nadia Neckiche were co-ordinated by the scientific coordinator of the Istituto Zooprofilattico dell’Abruzzo e del Molise “G.Caporale” (IZSAM) Francesco Pomilio and assisted to several lectures: surveillance system for animal health and food safety, roles and functions of the laboratory offices for the management of the veterinary activities and the national reference laboratory for the management of health emergencies.

 

In the afternoon, the Algerian team moved to Milan and visited, the day after, the Veterinary Services of the Province of Lodi and the Istituto Zooprofilattico Sperimentale della Lombardia e dell’Emilia.
