Dr. Dijana Djurovic from the Public Health Institute of Podgorica (Montenegro) underwent a training period at the Institute regarding heavy metal research within the EuropeAid "Development of Food Safety Services in Montenegro" framework.
From the 16th to the 20th of April 2012, Dr. Djurovic accompanied by her interpreter Dunja Popovic, frequented the department of "Bromatology and residues in foods for human and animal consumption" of the Teramo headquarters.
Here, she had the opportunity to examine aspects such as: the determination of lead, cadmium, mercury and arsenic in feed and food through various analytical techniques (atomic absorption spectrometry with graphite furnace, atomic emission spectrometry and inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry) and the relative results management in terms of quality application in a laboratory according to ISO / IEC 17025:2005.
