A Special Mention was awarded to the G. Caporale Institute, on 17 May 2010 in Rome, in the "Rewarding the results "contest organized by the Ministry of Public Function and Innovation in collaboration with Formez (Public Sector Modernisation Service, Assistance, Study and Training Centre).

The G. Caporale Institute was among the top 37 Italian public sector organisations to be awarded a "Special Mention" for achieving significant results implementing a plan to improve in 2009 the organisation and the relationship with the stakeholders.

The Institute's management was informed of the result by Minister Renato Brunetta, who wrote: "I consider this result by your organisation to be particularly important because of the large numbers participating in the Contest. Of the over 700 organisations and offices all over Italy that applied to take part, 478 began to implement a management improvement plan and 295 completed it, achieving the planned results".
