From 16 to 18 March 2010, Prof. Salah Hammami, Director-General of the Centre National de Veille Zoosanitaire in Tunis, visited Teramo in the context of the collaborative relations which the Institute has already initiated with Tunisia.

The main purpose of the meeting was to evaluate the possibilities for future collaboration, and to establish common lines of research and joint planning activities for the training of veterinary surgeons operating in the public sector, epidemiological surveillance and the development of information systems, with special emphasis on vector-borne diseases like Bluetongue, West Nile Disease and other emerging animal diseases.
