From 2 to 5 March 2010, a Tunisian delegation from the Institut de la Recherche Vétérinaire de Tunisie (IRVT) visited the G. Caporale Institute to plan and develop an OIE Bluetongue Twinning project and organise BT surveillance activities. The meeting was also designed to increase each the two Institutes' knowledge of one another, and identify further fields for future collaboration.

The members of the delegation were Doctors Mohamed Habib Jemli, Director-General of the IRVT, Sofiane Sghaier, Virology Department, Latifa Limam, Food Safety Department, and Hatem Ouled Ahmed, Animal Health Department.

The Tunisian delegation visited the facilities and laboratories at the Italian Institute's headquarters in Teramo, the International Veterinary Training and Information Centre in Colleatterrato, and the Regional Experimental Fisheries and Aquaculture Centre in Termoli.
