Dr. Haraseb was at the Institute for a training period of three weeks, during which he attended the Quality Department (Dr. Ricci), the Chemistry Department (Dr. Scortichini) and the Department of Food Hygiene and Technology (Dr. Prencipe).

The motivation for his internship, which ended on 31 October 2008, was to get to know the Institute's Quality System (which complies with Standard UNI ISO 17025), and acquire knowledge and tools useful for the purposes of the Namibian Laboratory's accreditation in accordance with international Quality standards.
